1 min read

Location: Trophy Club, Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth area). Product: black aluminum bifold doors. Scope: supplied and installed by Cornerstone Windows & Doors.

Before

The home had an open covered patio. It was shaded, but open to the weather on its outer sides.

After

Black aluminum bifold doors now enclose the patio. Closed, the space works as a glass-walled room. Open, the panels fold back and the room connects straight to the backyard and pool.

Details

Folded, the panels stack neatly at the corner of the patio room, so the outdoor kitchen opens straight onto the stone patio.

Why bifold doors for a patio enclosure

Bifold panels fold into a compact stack, so most of the opening clears when the doors are open. That suits a patio that should feel outdoors on good days and enclosed the rest of the time. Read more in bifold vs sliding doors.
